To help with asset management, and to prepare for a package of stonemasonry works, UAV 365 were asked to survey Elie House and the adjacent Orangery.
With a series of roof levels and spread over three large storeys, the House was previously inspected via scaffolding. Using drone technology, the cost and time required to inspect would be reduced massively, while accuracy and data quality would increase.
Elie House is a country house in Elie, Fife, Scotland. It is a Category A listed building. The house, built in 1697 and incorporating an earlier structure, is south facing, constructed in stone in 3 storeys, 2 bays deep with a 5-bay frontage. Later additions were made c.1770 and in 1854–55.
It is now separated into residential units. The residents association and Abbey Forth Property Management are determined to keep the property in peak condition.
